FUNDRAISING

The Dreike Scholarship Fund raises funds through individual donations, annual fundraising events and through collaborations with other organisations who share our objectives. We are a UK registered charity – number 1138760 – eligible for Gift Aid. With minimal administration and overhead costs, the majority of funds raised go directly to Africa to fund education. If you would like to raise money for the Dreike Scholarship Fund please contact us or you can donate HERE

We would like to thank all our supporters, but especially mention the following donors and collaborators for their generosity and continued support The Bushcamp Company, Mothering Across Continents, Charity Begins at Home, The U Foundation and GDF-Knapp Stiftung.

2023 Carol Concert

We are excited to announce that we have planned one for Wednesday 13th December 2023 at 7pm at Chelsea Old Church, London after a three year break. We want to make it a special occasion because it will be the 15th anniversary of our charity.

We all are very proud what we have achieved in those 15 years enabling over 80 children to complete  either their school or university education. Without the support of our friends and supporters we would have not been able to achieve this. We hope that we will be able to raise enough money at this fundraising carol concert to not only support the students we are helping at the moment, but our ambition is to take on a few more children in Tanzania and Kenya and also assist with the integration of 24 handicapped children into their community near the Virunga Mountains in Rwanda and support 1 medical student in Uganda.

We are all looking forward to seeing you on 13th December 2023 buy tickets here ; if you already know that you will not be able to attend our event we would be very grateful if you could make a donation instead.

List of auction & raffle prizes for the night.

Kilimanjaro Trek - January 2017

Oli made it to the summit of Kilimanjaro; the adventure to the ‘Roof of Africa’ was one of the most rewarding and toughest challenges he has experienced, but reaching the highest point of the country and continent he loves, filled him with great pride and an immense sense of achievement – especially knowing people back in the UK were thinking of him and that he was raising money for the Dreike Scholarship Fund at the same time.

He managed to raise over $1,000 for DSF – which will cover the cost of two of our students to attend school for a year.

900km Cycle Rid - August 2017

Our friend Christoph Walpert, a keen supporter of DSF, together with his friend Benedikt, cycled 900km along the River Rhine, from the 14th August  – 3rd September  and raising funds for DSF along the way. The tour took them from the Bodensee through Switzerland and up along the German-French border, then back to their home town of Bonn in Germany.

UPDATE: They cycled 900km and raised over £900 for DSF – which will cover the total costs to send two of our sponsored students to secondary boarding school for a full year. A huge thanks and congrats to Chris and Benedikt!
